Structure Fire - Youngdale Rd. - Stations 10, 3, 8 and 12 were alerted to a reported structure fire @ 1881 Youngdale Rd., Wayne Twp. 10-1 Responded w/5, 10-13 responded w/2. Upon arrival of 10-1, Deputy 10 reported heavy smoke & flames from rear of structure and took Youngdale Rd. command.
Command reported fire knocked down @ 11:24 and working on overhaul. Crews from stations 8 & 12 assisted w/overhaul & ventilation. Station 3 crews staged @ the hydrant. Fire was held to back porch area of the structure. Crews did a great job keeping the fire from spreading to the house.
Command started releasing crews @ 11:40 and declared incident under control @ 12:14.

MVA - McElhattan Dr. - Youngdale Rd. - Station 10 was alerted to a reported MVA @ the McElhattan Bridge. After dispatch of this call, another report came in there was a second MVA @ McElhattan Dr. & Youngdale Rd. 10-1 responded w/4 to the scene @ the McElhattan Bridge. 10-62 responded w/2 to the 2nd accident. Crews worked traffic control and cleanup. Both scenes reported patient refusal.

MVA - RT220 - Station 10 was alerted to a reported MVA w/no injuries North Bound Lane, mile marker 117. Assistant 10 responded to the scene. 10-1 responded w/4. Upon arrival of Assistant 10, reported 1 vehicle off roadway into guiderails, no injuries. St. 10 crews handled traffic control until vehicle was removed. Command released units @ 19:01

MVA - RT 220. Stations 10 & 3 were alerted to an MVA in the South bound lane @ mile marker 113 for traffic control. 10-62 responded w/4, 3-63 responded w/4. Upon arrival, Deputy 3 took command with Station 3 crews cleaning up debris and station 10 crews working traffic control and helped with cleanup. Command released units @ 10-24.

Structure Fire - Borough of Avis. Station 10 was alerted to a 2nd due assignment @ 510 Prospect St. 10-13 responded w/6, 10-1 responded w/3. Chief 8 reported smoke condition from sides B & C. Upon arrival of St. 10, command reported fire knocked down & working on overhaul. St. 10 crews waited in the staging area and were released by command @ 01:16.

Unknown type fire - First Quality Products. Station 10 was alerted to an unknown type fire @ 121 North Rd with smoke in the structure. Chief 10 responded to the scene, reported nothing showing from exterior. With further investion of interior, Chief 10 upgraded to a working box. 12-1 arrived on scene and pulled line. 8-13 & 3-63 arrived and assisted crews with interior operations. 8-70 went to the roof to check for extension. Command reported fire out and working on overhaul @ 12:50. Command released all units @ 13:37.

MVA - McElhattan Dr. & Fritz Road. Stations 10 & 5 along with MICU 22-82 was alerted to an MVA w/injuries. Lieutenant 10 responded to the scene and took command. Upon arrival of Lieutenant 10, he reported 2 vehiclesinvolved w/confinement and 4 injuries. Lieutenant 10 requested a 2nd BLS & ALS units. 10-62 arrived on scene and crews stabilized the vehicle and took off the front passenger door. 5-63 arrived and helped with patient care and packaged. Extracation was complete @ 10:29. Command released units @ 11:08

Stations 10 was alerted for a 1st Due assignment for a working structure fire in the city of Lock Haven along with numerous tankers in the county due to low water level in the reservoir. 10-13 responded w/6. unpon arrival in the city, command released 10-13 @ 00:46. Crews had fire knocked down and working on overhaul.

HazMat - Service Call - McElhattan Dr. & North Rd. Stations 10 was alerted to a reported oil spill . Responding were Rescue Capt. 10 along with Eng. 10-1 w/3. Upon arrival of Rescue Capt 10, he reported large oil spill approximately ½ mile long with oil running into the storm drains. Rescue Capt. 10 took command and requested HazMat 35 and PennDot to respond with a load of sand due to heavy rains and runoff. Crews worked on containing the oil and traffic control. HazMat called in Eagle Tire & Towing for clean up. Command placed incident under control & available @ 18:01

MVA - Route 220 w/entrapment. Stations 10 & 3 along with MICU 22 were alerted to reported MVA on the North Bound Lane Rt 220. 10-62 responded w/3. An Eng. from St. 8 (Avis) was requested. Upon arrival, it was confirmed entrapment with multiple injuries. Assistant 8 took 220 command. St. 10 crews assisted w/patient care & extracation. Command requested an LZ at the Army Reserve Center and had St. 12 dispatched to set up the landing zone. Command released units @ 12:55

Structure Fire - Bald Eagle Truck Stop. Stations 10, 3, 8, & 12 were alerted to a reported structure fire @ 612 McElhattan Dr. Deputy 10 responded and asked county if there was confirmed fire. County reported that the caller stated there was smoke in the structure and possible cause was electrical. Deputy 10 held all units with the exception of St. 10. 10-1 responded w/4. Upon arrival, Deputy 10 reported nothing showing on sides B & C. 10-13 responded w/3, 10-62 responded w/1.
Crews reported smoke in the structure w/fire in the basement. Deputy 10 took command and requested the units held to respond. Crews worked on gaining access to the basement from outside and inside the structure due to limited access into the basement. Fire reported out with crews working on overhaul @ 17:43. Command placed incident under control @ 18:31

GSV/Landing Zone. Station 10 was alerted to a GSW @ 65 Youngs Lane. 10-62 responded w/3. Pine Creek PD secured the scene and crews attended to the patient. Deputy 10 requested Life Flight and an Engine from St. 10 to set up LZ and additional manpower for lift assist @ scene. Patient was transported to LZ by MICU 94. 10-1 responded w/3 to set up LZ. Chief Burnell took LZ command and Deputy Nonemaker had Youngs Lane command.

Landing Zone - Army Reserve Center in Wayne Twp. 
While returning to the station after previous call, St. 10 was requested by Lieutanent 12 to set up a Landing Zone for an MVA w/ejection that occured on Woodward Ave. Pine Creek Twp. 10-1 Responded w/4, 10-2 responded w/4. Crews began setting up the LZ, but were notified that Life Flight would be unable to fly due to bad weather conditions and units were cancelled and returned @ 16:31.

2nd Due Assignment - Structure Fire, East Valley Rd. Green Twp. - Station 10 was alerted for a special call for a tanker to a structure fully involved @ the Saw Mill.  Pumper/Tanker 10-3, responded w/5. Upon arrival of Chief 13, it was downgraded to a large mulch pile burning and caught the corner of the building on fire. St. 10 crews were sent to staging area to stand-by and 10-3 ran tanker shuttle while the dozer knocked down the large mulch pile. Command released units @ 07:36

Specialized Rescue Assignment - Dugan Rd, Pine Creek Twp. St. 10 was requested to assist Stations 12 & 5 w/a block wall that had collapsed trapping two individuals. St. 10 crew assisted Lyco St. 45 crew w/stabilizing B side of structure while other crews stabilized D side & underneath the structure with total collapse of A side. After the structure was secure, St. 10 assisted all crews with patient removal. Released by command @ 17:35

Wild Fire - Bald Eagle Mt in Castanea Twp. Stations 10 & 3 were alerted to a wild fire at the rock pile on Bald Eagle Mt. 10-2 responded w/3, Brush 10-10 & crews remained in quarter's. Chief 3 took command & requested a brush unit from station 11 and UTV from Station 6 to the back side of the mountain on Kamandiner Rd. 10-2 staged on the Youngdale Rd and a short time later command requestd 10-2 to return to quarter's and stand-by. MVA - Entrance to Linnippi Village. Station 10 was alerted to a vehicle accident, no injuries. Lieutenant 10 responded to the scene, 10-63 responded w/4, 10-1 responded w/4. Upon arrival of Lieutenant 10, he reported one vehicle over the embankment with entrapment according to witnesses. 10-63 and 10-1 arrived on scene with Deputy 10 taking command and reported to county that patient extracated out of the vehicle by Lieutenant 10 and confirmed as confinement not entrapment and 1 class 3 injury w/ Pt refusal. Debris Fire - Station 10 was alerted to a reported Wild Fire on McKinney Rd. Deputy 10 responded to the scene and upon arrival reported it to be a Debris Fire of tree stumps and brush. 10-1 repsponded w/2, 10-2 responded w/4. Crews pulled a 1¾ line to extinquish the fire. Station 10 was alerted to reported vehicle fire @ 728 McElhattan Dr. in the front parking lot of Truck Lite. Chief 10 responded to the scene, 10-1 responded w/5, 10-63 responded w/2. Sergeant 2 on scene reported vehicle fully involved. Upon arrival of Cheif 10, Chief 10 reported light smoke and working engine compartment fire. Chief 10 requested front jump line be pulled to extinquish fire. Fire reported out @ 23:26 and command released units @ 23:49

Station 10 was alerted to an MVA on Rt 220 N. Bound Lane along with Station 3, MICU 22-82 & MICU 94 @ mile marker 114. Deputy 10 responded to the scene, 10-1 & 10-63 responded with 5. Upon arrival of MICU 22-82 they reported 1 vehicle w/2 ejections in middle of roadway. Deputy 10 took command and requested 220 be shut down at the Lock Haven exit and for Life Flight to land on 220. County reported Life Flight & S. Med Vac were unable to fly due to weather conditions. Crews assisted w/patient care & clean-up. Command released units @ 19:20

Deputy 10 notified county of a smoke investigation on McKinney Rd. 10-10 responded w/2. Upon arrival, Deputy 10 reported a controlled burn that got out of hand, burning approximately a 1/2 acre. Command requested an Eng. from St 10 for water, Eng. 10-2 responded w/2. Command reported fire out at 17:25 and released units @ 17:39

Station 10 was called for Mutual Aid for Station 28 Lycoming County for a Wild Fire @ Happy Acres. Brush 10-10 responded w/2 and Untility 10-20 responded w/3. Once on scene crews went into action and worked the right flank of the fire with crews from Lyco St. 3 and 31 Forrest Crews. Brush 10-10 stayed @ staging area to fill ATV's & UTV's. Command released units @ 00:36

Station 10 was alerted to a reported automatic alarm @ First Quality Products Building #8 on South Rd. Deputy 10 responded to the scene and reported nothing showing from all sides and no alarms sounding. Station 10 was held in quarter's while Deputy 10 met with RP and found nothing wrong and cancelled St. 10 @ 15:58. At 15:59, another automatic alarm rang @ building #7. With Deputy 10 already on scene, St. 10 was held in quarter's. Nothing was found and no alarms were sounding. Units were released @ 16:08 and Deputy 10 returned to quarter's. At 16:09 a third alarm was sounded at building #3. Deputy 10 and 10-1 responded w/5. Once on scene, nothing was found again. County reported the alarm company couldn't identify any problems, only that alarms were going off. After further investigation from crews, found no alarms sounding and placed incident under control @ 16:26

Station 10 was alerted for a 2nd Due Assignment for Brush Trucks during a wild fire @ the Bonner Cemetery in Avis Borough. Pine Creek PD reported approx. 1 1/2 acres burning and moving fast. Brush 10-10 responded w/2 and Eng. 10-2 responded w/2. Command requested 10-2 to stand-by at Station 8. Brush 10-10 went into the scene and pulled 300' of Pencil Line and 2 Soft Pk's to assist with putting out the fire. Command released units @ 16:02

Deputy 10 alerted county of a debris fire behind the McElhattan United Methodist Church and requested one piece of apparatus w/10-10 responding. Upon further investigation, Deputy 10 found it to be 2 Juveniles setting sticks and a soda bottle on fire. PSP was notified and command released units @ 20:42

Deputy 10 requested Station 10 to a Wild Fire @ 33 Cox Lane. Deputy 10 & 10-2 responded w/3, 10-10 responded w/2. Upon arrival, command requested 2nd Due Brush & Tankers from Stations 12 & 5 with 3 acres burning at this time. Capt. 10 reported to command that the fire jumped the line, more water and manpower were needed. Command requested 3rd Due Brush & Tanker from Stations 8 & 3. Command reported fire under control with mop up in progress @ 16:37 and released units @ 18:03

Station 10 was alerted to a Flue Fire along with Station 12 Woolrich in their primary run area @ 75 Beagle Club Lane Dunnstable Twp. Eng. 10-1 responded w/5, Eng. 12-1 responded w/2. Upon arrival of Eng. 12-1, Capt. 12 confirmed Flue Fire. Eng. 10-1 arrived and assisted with unplugging of Flue and clean-up. Station 10 used there Thermo-Imaging Camera to make sure fire didn't advance to the partition. Command released units @ 07:42.

Station 10 was alerted to a debris fire @ River View Dr. Pine Station. 10-1 responded w/6 and Assistant 10 responded to the scene. Upon arrival of Assistant 10, reported a pile of debris in a pit smoldering w/nobody around. 10-1 arrived on scene and pulled the front 1 ¾ trash line and extinquished the fire. Assistant 10 reported incident under control @ 13:25.

While on Stand-by, Lyco. Stations 3 & 45 were alerted to a reported MVA, car into a structure. Incident occured on the 1100 block of Allegheny St. Jersey Shore. Lyco. St. 3/Eng. 3, Eng. 10-1 and one St. 10 FF/EMT responded w/ MICU-94. Upon arrival, vehicle was moved away from the structure. No injuries but structural damage was done. Engine crews assisted w/removal and clean up of debris. Command released units @19:30 and returned to St. 45 for their Stand-by assignment.

Stations 10 & 3 were alerted to a reported brush fire along RT 220 North Bound Lane near the McElhattan exit. Lieutenant Sarosi responded to the scene and reported a 1/4 of an acre burning. Brush 10-10 responded w/2 and 3-10 responded w/2. Upon arrival of 10-10, the fire had spread to 1 acre and jumped the fence boardering the state game lands. Deputy 10 requested 2nd of tones for tanker 10-3 and 2nd Due units. Command reported to Deputy 10 that the fire was knocked down and deputy 10 notified county to have 2nd due units cancelled and placed incident under control and available at 13:18.

Reported MVA w/injuries @1462 Youngdale Road. Deputy 10 and Rescue 10-63 responded w/3, Eng. 10-1 responded w/4. Upon arrival there was 1 vehicle into a pole and no injuries found. Stations 10 & 3 were alerted to a flare up at the scene of the vehicle fire by Pine Creek Police. Engine 10-1 and Deputy Chief Nonemaker responded w/5. Deputy Nonemaker took command and held station 3 in quarter’s. Upon arrival on scene, command reported no fire and no smoke showing. After investigation command reported it being steam not a flare up and advised the police of no further danger and it could be towed away. Command released units at 17:40.

Station 10 & Station 3 was alerted to a reported vehicle fire on Route 220 S. Bound lane. Engine 10-1 responded with 6 personnel, Rescue 10-63 responded with 2 personnel and Engine 3-1 responded with 3 personnel. Upon arrival of Lieutenant Sarosi who took command confirmed the engine compartment well involved. Engine 10-1 arrived and pulled the trash line and extinguished the fire. Command reported fire out at 16:40 and released units at 17:00.

Vehicle over embankment @ 535 Pine Mt. Road. Rescue 10-63 responded with 2 personnel. Upon arrival of Lieutenant Sarosi, 1 vehicle off roadway into a ditch with no injuries. Lieutenant Sarosi canceled MICU 22-82 & 3-63. 10-63 continued under routine conditions. Command placed incident under control and released units @ 12:43.

Rescue 10-63 responded w/4, Engine 10-1 responded w/2. Assistant Chief Rick Gardner responded to the scene. Upon his arrival, he confirmed confinement with no injuries and extracted patient. Upon arrival of 10-63 & 10-1, crews assisted with traffic control and clean up. Units were placed available at 08:30

MVA w/Injuries and Fatality
Station 10 responded to a reported MVA with injuries on Route 220 S-bound ¼ mile past the McElhattan on-ramp. Rescue 10-63 responded w/3, Engine 10-1 responded w/3 personnel. Asst. Chief Gardner responded to the scene. Upon arrival on scene, Asst. Chief Gardner reported 2 injuries with confirmed entrapment. Crews worked for 13 minutes to extricate the first patient from the vehicle. The 2nd extrication was completed in 23 minutes. Castanea Station 3 Rescue 3-63 assisted with extrication and were released a short time later. Gardner terminated command @ 01:13 and Company 10 returned to quarter’s.

Stand-by assignment for Eng. 10-1 at Milesburg, Center County Station 9. After transfer assignment was completed, Engine 10-1 was then assigned to a structure fire @ 460 Allegheny Street near Unionville. 10-1 was the 3rd Engine on scene and was put into water supply, filling tankers while the Eng. Crews fought the fire.

Stand-by assignment for Eng. 10-3 at Clinton County Station 9 Upon arrival at Station 9, 10-3 was requested to the scene of a working structure fire at the Mount Eagle Church of Christ in Howard Township. 10-3 supplied Lock Haven Engine 6-1 with water. Engine crews from Stations 4, 5, 6, 9 & 10 made an Interior Attack until they were pulled out by Center County Chief 1400. Engine 10-3 then ran Tanker Shuttle. Multiple Company’s from Center & Clinton Counties were on scene.
